Preserve and secure access to non-motorized trails and open space in Emigration Canyon for the purposes of recreation, community enhancement, and increased fire protection.
Promote the creation of a well designed system of trails that will connect with existing trails outside the canyon, provide access to points of geographical and historical interest, create logical route options, and minimize impacts to canyon neighborhoods whenever possible.
Support efforts to identify and permanently protect areas in the canyon of outstanding natural value or which are deemed critical for wildlife.
Establish a working relationship with the appropriate government and community agencies, trail planners, and canyon residents in order to bring local knowledge and concerns to bear on trails and open space planning decisions.
